Preparing to cast the lines

Published by emmanuelledrifting at 9:58 am under Life, Travel Edit This

Well my friends and faithful readers, today is the day we start! This will be a short post as I am preparing to cast the lines and shove off from the berth and travel southwest down the Elk River to the head of the Bay, and then follow it south.

It’s a beautiful day to begin a journey, and I hope you all tag long for the ride. I will try to post daily, but might not have an internet connection on the bay all the time. But check back often for new posts.

Its time for me to bend the sails on and make one final check that everything is stowed and secure. This dishes are washed and put away from breakfast, the bed is made. My charts are open. Its almost time to sail.

I hope to see old friends and make new ones along the way. So toss off the bow line, I’ll grab the stern lines and fire the engine, we are headed to the channel, and turning the bow to port, hopefully the winds will be fair and at our backs.

Talk to you soon……..
