Anchored in Fairlee Creek
I woke early, made coffee and oatmeal, then sat and watched the water level rise on the green day marker. Wanting to make sure the tide was high enough before trying to set out for the next leg. As Emmanuelle started to turn with the current, I walked to the bow to weigh the anchor. Headed out at idle so as not to cause a wake, I worked my back to the Bay.
The sea was rough today, as I sailed to Fairlee Creek to anchor and wait out yet another small craft advisory. Two fronts are supposed to meet near Pooles Island and really screw things for the weekend. So here I sit anchored, on the settee, back against the starboard wall, rocking as the waves get bigger and the wind stronger. More than likely I will be here till Monday at the earliest.
That’s ok though, I need to take care of a few things in the aft berth. Square them away before I get to much farther south. The “Almighty Web Master” will be climbing aboard when I get to Norfolk. We are planning a few days on the water (yes, his wife said its okay, lol). And you never know we might have more guests aboard soon, so I need to make sure both berths are ready just in case.
I know this one is short, but like I said, I woke early, and its late now. I will make up for tomorrow. I need to check the anchor rodes before the wind and waves get too bad.
